How It Works

Bayer Jump contains Fipronil 80% WG, which acts on the insect nervous system by interfering with nerve impulse transmission. The active ingredient affects GABA-gated chloride channels and glutamate-gated chloride channels in insects. This disrupts normal nerve signal movement, leading to hyperexcitation of insect nerves and muscles. As a result, the pest stops feeding, becomes paralyzed, and dies within a short time after exposure.

Jump works mainly through contact and ingestion action. When a pest comes in contact with the treated surface or feeds on treated plant tissue, the active ingredient enters its body and starts acting on the nervous system. Bayer Jump is applied as a foliar spray with clean water and even coverage. The dose changes by crop, pest, and spray volume. Follow the crop-wise recommendations below:

For rice, the recommended dose is also given as 50 to 62.5 g per hectare. The dose per litre of water is generally around 0.08 to 0.14 gm per litre, depending on crop and water volume. Always follow the crop-specific label dosage before application.

When to Use

Apply Bayer Jump when the pest population is first noticed or when early crop damage starts appearing. Spraying early gives the best results before the pest population becomes heavy, especially in crops like paddy, onion, chilli, and cabbage.

For rice, apply the first spray when the incidence of stem borer (dead hearts) and leaf folder (white stripes on leaves) starts. Perform 1 to 2 more sprays depending on the severity of pest incidence. Morning or evening spraying gives better results because spray loss is lower and the crop is less stressed. Choose a non-windy or no-rain day to avoid drifting and washing away of the spray.

Step by Step Usage Instructions

1. Measure the required quantity of Bayer Jump as per the crop and pest.
2. Fill the spray tank halfway with clean water.
3. Add the measured Jump quantity into a small amount of water first.
4. Mix it well until the granules disperse properly.
5. Pour the prepared solution into the spray tank.
6. Add the remaining water and keep the solution well stirred.
7. Spray uniformly on the crop canopy using a knapsack, battery, or motorized sprayer.
8. Cover both upper and lower leaf surfaces where pests are active.
9. Do not spray during strong wind, heavy rain, or hot afternoon weather.
10. Use the prepared spray solution on the same day.

Compatibility
