How It Works

Bayer Nativo works through the combined action of two active ingredients with different modes of action. Tebuconazole is a DMI (demethylase inhibitor) fungicide belonging to the triazole group. It is absorbed by the plant and moves systemically, inhibiting sterol biosynthesis — a process essential for fungal cell membrane formation. This disrupts fungal development and stops further growth, providing strong curative activity against established infections.

Trifloxystrobin belongs to the strobilurin group (QoI). It blocks electron transfer in the fungal respiratory chain, cutting off the energy supply of plant pathogenic fungi. This leads to energy depletion and cell death, giving protective action against new infections. Trifloxystrobin also has translaminar movement, helping the product penetrate leaf tissues for long-lasting protection.

Recommended Dosage & Application

Bayer Nativo is applied as a foliar spray. The recommended dose varies by crop and target disease. Use a knapsack, battery or power sprayer to ensure uniform coverage of leaves and plant parts where disease symptoms are present.

When to Use

Bayer Nativo offers flexibility in application timing. It can be applied preventively before disease appears, or at the very first signs of infection for curative action. For best results, apply at an early stage of disease development, before infection spreads to new crop growth.

For rice, apply at the tillering to panicle initiation stage for sheath blight control, and at heading for dirty panicle control. For wheat, apply at the booting stage to protect the flag leaf from rust and powdery mildew for maximum yield benefit. Spray during early morning or late evening hours, and avoid spraying during midday heat or when rain is expected within 4 hours. Do not spray during strong winds, as mesostemic redistribution works best under calm conditions.

Step by Step Usage Instructions

1. Measure the required dose of Nativo as per the crop-wise dosage table above.
2. Add the measured granules to a small amount of clean water in a separate container and stir until fully dissolved. The WG formulation dissolves readily without lumps.
3. Pour the dissolved solution into the sprayer tank and fill with the remaining clean water. Mix well before spraying.
4. Spray evenly on all plant parts — upper and lower leaf surfaces, stem, panicle and fruit zones — for complete fungal protection.
5. Apply preventively before disease appears, or at the very first sign of infection for curative action.
6. Use a suitable knapsack, battery or power sprayer to ensure uniform coverage.
7. Rinse the sprayer tank thoroughly with clean water after every use.

Compatibility

Bayer Nativo is compatible with most insecticides and fungicides. Avoid mixing with strongly alkaline products. Always perform a jar test before mixing with unfamiliar products. For field-level use, consult an agronomist before tank mixing Nativo with other products.

Precautions & Safety
