The product has systemic action, which means once applied as a foliar spray, it is absorbed by the plant leaves and stems and moves upward through the plant's vascular system (xylem). This systemic movement ensures that even parts of the plant not directly hit by the spray receive protection. The insecticide reaches new leaves, shoots, and other growing points where sucking pests typically feed.

In addition to systemic activity, Confidence 555 also has contact action, meaning it can kill insects that come into direct contact with the spray droplets. Recommended Dosage & Application

Method of Application: Foliar spray. Mix the recommended dosage in sufficient water (typically 150–200 litres per acre for ground sprayers) and spray uniformly on the crop canopy. Ensure thorough coverage of the plant, especially the undersides of leaves where sucking pests often hide.

When to Use

Apply Crystal Confidence 555 at the first sign of pest infestation or when pest populations reach economic threshold levels. For sucking pests like aphids, jassids, thrips, and whitefly, early detection and timely application are critical to prevent rapid population buildup. On paddy, monitor for hopper burn symptoms and apply when hopper nymphs or adults are observed in the field. For sugarcane termite control, apply as a soil treatment or at the base of the plant during early crop stages when termite activity is noticed. On mango, apply during the flowering and new flush stages when hopper populations are active. For best results, apply during cooler parts of the day (early morning or late evening) to avoid spray evaporation and ensure better absorption.

Step by Step Usage Instructions

1. Check pest infestation: Inspect your crop to confirm the presence of target pests and assess the severity of infestation before application.
2. Measure the correct dosage: Use a measuring cup or syringe to accurately measure the recommended dosage for your crop and pest type as per the dosage table above.
3. Prepare the spray solution: Fill the spray tank with half the required amount of clean water. Add the measured quantity of Confidence 555 and mix well. Then add the remaining water and stir thoroughly to ensure uniform mixing.
4. Spray application: Use a clean, well-maintained sprayer (knapsack or power sprayer) and apply the solution uniformly over the crop canopy. Ensure good coverage of the undersides of leaves where sucking pests typically feed.
5. Clean equipment: After spraying, thoroughly rinse the spray tank and all application equipment with clean water. Dispose of rinse water safely away from water bodies.
6. Post-application care: Monitor the crop after 3–5 days to assess pest control. If pest pressure continues, a repeat application may be needed based on the severity and crop stage.

Compatibility

Crystal Confidence 555 can often be mixed with other pesticides and fungicides. However, always perform a small jar test before large-scale mixing to check for physical compatibility.
