How It Works

Crystal Rapid contains Acetamiprid, an active ingredient from the Neonicotinoid group. It works by acting as an acetylcholine agonist – meaning it overstimulates the nervous system of target insects, causing paralysis and eventually death. When sprayed on the crop, the product is quickly absorbed by the plant leaves and stems due to its strong systemic action. Once inside the plant, it moves upward through the vascular system to reach new growth and unsprayed parts.

This systemic movement is a key advantage – even if the spray does not directly hit every pest, insects feeding on any treated part of the plant ingest the chemical and get controlled. This includes pests hiding in curled leaves, dense foliage, or other protected areas. The product also provides contact action, killing pests that come in direct contact with the spray droplets. Recommended Dosage & Application

Note: Always mix the recommended quantity in sufficient water (usually 150-200 litres per acre) and spray uniformly on the crop. Ensure thorough coverage of the plant, especially the underside of leaves where sucking pests often hide.

When to Use

Crystal Rapid should be applied when pest infestation is first noticed or when pest populations reach the economic threshold level. Early application gives the best results as the systemic action protects new growth before pests can establish. For sucking pests like aphids, jassids, and whitefly, apply at the first sign of infestation – such as curling leaves, sticky honeydew, or visible pest colonies on the underside of leaves. For BPH in paddy, apply when hoppers are seen at the base of the plants. Repeat application may be needed if pest pressure continues, based on the recommended interval and local advisory. Avoid spraying during heavy rainfall or extreme heat for best results.

Step by Step Usage Instructions

• Step 1: Wear appropriate protective gear – gloves, mask, and goggles while handling the product.
• Step 2: Fill the spray tank with half the required amount of clean water.
• Step 3: Measure the correct dose of Crystal Rapid as per the crop and pest table above.
• Step 4: Add the measured product to the tank and stir well to ensure complete dissolution.
• Step 5: Add the remaining water and mix thoroughly again.
• Step 6: Spray uniformly on the crop, ensuring good coverage of the underside of leaves and new growth.
• Step 7: Clean the spray equipment thoroughly after use with clean water.
