Crystal Tilt is a broad-spectrum systemic fungicide containing Propiconazole 25% EC (Emulsifiable Concentrate), manufactured by Crystal Crop Protection Ltd. It is designed to control a wide range of fungal diseases across multiple crops including wheat, rice, groundnut, soybean, cotton, tea, banana, and coffee. With its systemic, curative, and protective mode of action, Crystal Tilt is absorbed by the crop and moves throughout the plant tissues, stopping fungal growth from inside and preventing further spread of disease.

This fungicide is effective against major diseases such as Karnal bunt, leaf rust, stem rust, stripe rust, sheath blight, early and late leaf spot, blister blight, and leaf spot. It works quickly after application, showing visible results within hours, and provides long-lasting protection that does not wash off easily even during rainy conditions. By controlling diseases at critical growth stages, Crystal Tilt helps improve grain quality and supports healthier crop development, making it a reliable and versatile choice for farmers looking to protect their yield.

Key Benefits

  • Broad-spectrum disease control – Effectively manages multiple fungal diseases like rusts, blights, leaf spots, and bunt across various crops.
  • Systemic action – Gets absorbed into the plant and moves throughout the tissues, providing complete internal protection.
  • Quick visible results – Starts working within hours of application, stopping disease damage early.
  • Long-lasting protection – Stays effective for an extended period, reducing the need for frequent sprays.
  • Rainfast – Does not wash off easily during rainy conditions, ensuring reliable protection.
  • Better grain quality – Controls diseases at critical crop stages, resulting in healthier grains and better marketable yield.
  • Versatile across crops – Suitable for wheat, rice, groundnut, soybean, cotton, tea, banana, and coffee.

How It Works

Crystal Tilt contains Propiconazole, which belongs to the triazole group of fungicides. It works by inhibiting ergosterol biosynthesis in fungi. Ergosterol is a key component of the fungal cell membrane. Without it, the fungus cannot maintain its cell structure, leading to disrupted growth and eventual death of the fungal cells.

Because of its systemic nature, Propiconazole is quickly absorbed by the leaves and stems after foliar application and moves upward within the plant (acropetal translocation). This means it reaches new growth and hidden areas where fungi may be developing. Crystal Tilt offers both preventive action (protecting healthy plant parts before infection) and curative action (stopping existing infections from spreading). This dual action makes it highly effective for managing diseases at various stages of infection.

General dilution guide: Use 1 ml of Crystal Tilt per litre of water. For a standard 15-litre knapsack sprayer, add 15 ml of fungicide. Mix thoroughly in clean water before spraying.

When to Use

Apply Crystal Tilt at the first appearance of fungal disease symptoms or as a preventive measure during the crop's critical growth stages. For best results, spray when weather conditions favour disease development such as high humidity, frequent rainfall, or moderate temperatures (20–30°C) which are ideal for rusts, blights, and leaf spots.

For wheat, apply at the onset of rust or Karnal bunt symptoms. For rice, spray when sheath blight symptoms first appear on the lower leaf sheaths. For groundnut, apply at the early stage of leaf spot or rust development. For tea, apply when blister blight is first noticed. Early application ensures better disease control and prevents yield loss.

Step by Step Usage Instructions

  1. Calculate dosage: Measure the required amount of Crystal Tilt based on your crop and area. For most crops, use 200 ml per acre (except tea: 100 ml per acre).
  2. Prepare the spray solution: Fill the spray tank with half the required amount of clean water. Add the measured fungicide and stir well. Add the remaining water and mix thoroughly to create a uniform solution.
  3. Check equipment: Ensure your sprayer is clean, properly calibrated, and free from residues of other chemicals.
  4. Apply as foliar spray: Spray evenly over the crop canopy, ensuring complete coverage of leaves and stems. Pay special attention to the lower parts of the plant where diseases often start.
  5. Timing: Apply during early morning or late afternoon when temperatures are cooler and wind is low. Avoid spraying in direct sunlight or when rain is expected within 2–3 hours.
  6. Post-application: Clean the spray equipment thoroughly after use. Do not drain leftover solution near water bodies.

Precautions & Safety

  • Wear protective clothing including mask, goggles, and gloves while handling and spraying the fungicide.
  • Avoid contact with skin, eyes, and clothing. In case of contact, wash immediately with plenty of water.
  • Do not eat, drink, or smoke while handling the product.
  • Keep the product away from children, pets, and livestock.
  • Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture.
  • Do not store near food, feed, or drinking water.
  • Avoid spray drift to nearby water bodies, non-target crops, and flowering plants during bee activity.
