Goldstim is a next-generation plant biostimulant from Insecticides India Ltd (IIL) that provides crops with a ready-to-use mixture of hydrolyzed proteins, peptides, and amino acids. Unlike regular fertilizers that supply basic nutrients, Goldstim delivers pre-formed building blocks that plants can absorb and use immediately. This saves the crop's energy, allowing it to focus on growth, stress tolerance, and higher yields.

The product contains key amino acids like Glutamic Acid and Aspartic Acid along with short-chain peptides that act as natural signaling molecules. It is formulated as a liquid soluble concentrate that can be applied as a foliar spray or through fertigation systems. Goldstim is classified as a biostimulant under FCO 1985 and is non-toxic when used as directed.

Goldstim is suitable for a wide range of crops including Cotton, Paddy, Maize, Chilli, Tomato, Brinjal, Grapes, Mango, and Citrus. It helps plants cope with abiotic stresses like heatwaves, drought, and chemical shock while promoting vigorous root development, better flowering, and improved fruit quality. The product is highly compatible with most insecticides and soluble fertilizers, making it a practical tank-mix partner for integrated crop management.

Key Benefits

  • Saves plant energy: Supplies pre-formed L-amino acids so the plant skips the energy-intensive process of converting soil nitrogen into proteins. This saved energy goes directly into growth and reproduction.
  • Improves stress tolerance: The amino acids and peptides act as osmoprotectants, helping crops withstand and recover quickly from heatwaves, drought, salinity, and chemical stress.
  • Promotes white root development: Peptides signal the plant to trigger rapid root cell division, producing healthy white roots that maximize water and nutrient uptake.
  • Reduces flower and fruit drop: Improves the plant's hormonal balance and metabolic health, significantly reducing shedding of squares, flowers, and young fruits.
  • Accelerates recovery from herbicide damage: Acts as a safener when used 5-7 days after harsh herbicide sprays, helping the crop metabolize chemicals and resume normal growth.
  • Visible greening effect: Glutamic acid acts as a direct precursor to chlorophyll production, leading to rapid greening of leaves and improved photosynthetic efficiency.
  • Enhances fertilizer use efficiency: Helps the plant make better use of the NPK fertilizers you already apply, ensuring your fertilizer investment delivers maximum results.

How It Works

Goldstim works through a three-step biological process that combines rapid nutrition with metabolic signaling.

Step 1 - Rapid Absorption: When sprayed on the leaves, the L-amino acids penetrate through the stomata almost immediately. Unlike mineral salts, these amino acids do not require energy from the plant to be absorbed, making the process highly efficient.

Step 2 - Peptide Signaling: The short-chain peptides in Goldstim act as natural signaling molecules or messengers. They trigger the plant to optimize key functions like root cell division (promoting white roots) and activate the plant's natural defense systems against stress.

Step 3 - Metabolic Efficiency: By providing ready-to-use amino acids, Goldstim saves the plant's photosynthetic energy that would otherwise be spent on converting nitrates into proteins. The plant reallocates this saved energy toward reproduction, resulting in more flowers, better pollination, and bigger fruits. Additionally, high levels of Glutamic acid directly boost chlorophyll biosynthesis, leading to rapid greening and improved photosynthesis.

Recommended Dosage & Application

The Golden Rule: Always follow the "Dose per Acre" for accurate results. Adjust water volume based on canopy size.

CropDose (ml/Acre)Water (L/Acre)Dose (ml/Litre)PHI (Days)
Cotton, Paddy, Maize200 - 400 ml150 - 200 L1.0 - 2.0 ml0

Note: For Grape dipping, follow local expert advice on specific PPM concentration.

When to Use

Apply Goldstim during critical growth stages for best results. The ideal timing includes:

  • Active vegetative growth: When the crop is building its canopy and root system
  • Flowering stage: At square formation, flower initiation, and fruit set to reduce shedding
  • Before predicted stress events: Apply 2-3 days before expected heatwaves, sudden cold, or heavy rain
  • After stress or chemical damage: Apply 5-7 days after a harsh herbicide spray to help the crop recover
  • During fruit development: For berry sizing in grapes and fruit enlargement in mango and citrus

Step by Step Usage Instructions

  1. Prepare the spray solution: Fill the spray tank with half the required water. Add the measured dose of Goldstim and mix well. Add the remaining water and stir thoroughly.
  2. Tank-mix order (if using with other products): If mixing with insecticides or soluble fertilizers, first add Goldstim, then add the other products. Stir well after each addition.
  3. Spray application: Apply as a foliar spray ensuring thorough and uniform coverage of all leaves. The product is absorbed rapidly through the stomata on the leaf surface.
  4. For grape dipping: Prepare the dipping solution at the recommended concentration and dip the grape bunches for berry sizing treatment.
  5. Post-application: Wash the spray equipment thoroughly after use. Wash hands and exposed skin with soap and water.

Compatibility

Goldstim is highly compatible and can be tank-mixed with most insecticides (such as Shinwa, Arrow) and systemic fungicides to save labor costs. It also works well with soluble fertilizers as a tank-mix partner.

Important caution: Do NOT mix Goldstim with Copper-based fungicides (such as Copper Oxychloride) or Sulphur-based products, as this may cause phytotoxicity or leaf burning. If copper or sulphur sprays are needed, apply them 3-4 days apart from Goldstim application.

Precautions & Safety

  • Always wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including gloves, mask, and goggles during mixing and application.
  • Wash hands and exposed skin thoroughly with soap and water after handling the product.
  • Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture.
  • Keep out of reach of children and away from food, feed, and drinking water.
  • Avoid spray drift to water bodies and non-target areas.
  • Do not eat, drink, or smoke while handling or applying the product.
