HPM Aashirwaad SC is a broad-spectrum insecticide containing Fipronil 5% SC, belonging to the phenylpyrazole chemical group. This suspension concentrate (SC) formulation is designed to protect crops from a wide range of pests including borers, sucking pests, and soil insects. It works through both contact and ingestion action, making it effective even against pest populations that have developed resistance to other insecticide groups such as pyrethroids, organophosphates, carbamates, and cyclodienes.

Aashirwaad SC is suitable for use on major crops like Rice, Sugarcane, Cotton, and various Vegetables. It targets pests such as stem borers, leaf folders, early shoot borer, aphids, jassids, thrips, and whiteflies. The product offers systemic and contact action, providing long-lasting residual activity in the field. Farmers also observe a unique plant growth enhancement effect, leading to greener, healthier crops with better tillering and stronger stalks. This insecticide can be applied as a foliar spray and is also suitable for soil treatment and seed treatment applications.

Key Benefits

  • Broad-spectrum control of borers, sucking pests, and soil insects from a single product
  • Dual mode of action (contact + ingestion) ensures quick knockdown and reliable pest control
  • Effective against pests resistant to pyrethroid, organophosphorus, carbamate, and cyclodiene insecticides
  • Long residual activity reduces spray frequency and saves labour costs
  • Observed plant growth enhancement effect leads to healthier crops with better vigour
  • Suitable for multiple crops and application methods including foliar, soil, and seed treatment

How It Works

HPM Aashirwaad SC contains Fipronil, which belongs to the phenylpyrazole group of insecticides. When applied to crops, it works through both contact and ingestion action. Pests that come in direct contact with the spray or feed on treated plant parts absorb the insecticide into their system. Once inside, Fipronil blocks GABA-gated chloride channels and glutamate-gated chloride (GluCl) channels in the insect nervous system. This disruption prevents normal nerve signal transmission, causing hyperexcitation of nerves, followed by paralysis and eventual death of the pest. The systemic action of the product allows it to move within the plant, providing protection to new growth as well. Its unique mode of action makes it effective against pests that have developed resistance to other commonly used insecticide groups.

For foliar application, mix the recommended dose in sufficient water and spray uniformly on infested crop parts. Use 150–200 litres of water per acre for thorough coverage.

When to Use

Apply HPM Aashirwaad SC at the first sign of pest infestation or when pest populations reach economic threshold levels. For sugarcane, apply during early cane growth stage (pre-internode formation) to control Early Shoot Borer effectively. For paddy, apply from vegetative to booting stage against stem borers and leaf folders. For cotton and vegetables, apply during early vegetative stage when sucking pests like aphids, jassids, thrips, and whiteflies are first observed. Avoid spraying during high wind conditions or when rainfall is expected, as this can reduce effectiveness. Early application ensures better control and prevents pest populations from building up.

Step by Step Usage Instructions

  1. Wear gloves, mask, and protective clothing before handling the product.
  2. Fill the sprayer tank halfway with clean water.
  3. Add the required dose of HPM Aashirwaad SC (e.g., 20 ml per sprayer or as per crop-specific dosage).
  4. Stir the mixture well to ensure proper dilution.
  5. Top up the tank with water to the recommended spray volume (150–200 litres per acre).
  6. Spray uniformly on infested crop parts, ensuring good coverage of leaves and stems.
  7. Avoid spraying during high wind, rain, or extreme heat.
  8. Wash spray equipment thoroughly with clean water after use.
  9. Do not enter treated fields until spray has dried completely.
