How It Works

Cyperhit-10 contains Cypermethrin, a synthetic pyrethroid that acts as a neurotoxin in insects. This causes the sodium channels to remain open, leading to continuous nerve firing. Since Cyperhit-10 is non-systemic, it stays on the plant surface rather than being absorbed into plant tissues. This means thorough spray coverage of both upper and lower leaf surfaces is essential for effective control. When to Use

Avoid spraying during full flowering to protect pollinators. Do not apply during high wind or rain as this can cause spray drift and wash-off, reducing effectiveness.

Step by Step Usage Instructions

1. Check pest level: Inspect your crop and confirm that pest population has reached the threshold level before spraying.
2. Prepare the spray solution: Fill the spray tank with half the required amount of clean water. Add the recommended dose of Cyperhit-10 and stir well. Add the remaining water and mix thoroughly.
3. Spray application: Use a knapsack or power sprayer with a hollow cone nozzle for uniform coverage. Spray thoroughly on crop foliage, covering both upper and lower leaf surfaces where insects are active.
4. Ensure full coverage: Since this is a contact insecticide, complete coverage of the plant canopy is essential for effective control.
5. Post-application: Wash spray equipment thoroughly after use. Do not drain or wash equipment near water bodies, ponds, or wells.
6. Follow waiting period: Observe the recommended Pre-Harvest Interval (PHI) before harvesting the crop.

Compatibility

Cyperhit-10 is compatible with most organophosphorus insecticides. However, it is always advisable to conduct a small jar test before mixing with any new product. Do not mix with alkaline substances. Always follow the correct mixing order: wettable powders first, then liquids, and adjuvants last.

Side Effects & Phytotoxicity

Cypermethrin is classified by the US EPA as a possible human carcinogen (Group C). It is highly toxic to fish and bees and very highly toxic to aquatic insects. It has very low toxicity to birds. When used according to label directions, the product is safe for crops. However, avoid over-application as it may cause leaf burn or stress under extreme weather conditions. Newborn animals and young children may be more sensitive to cypermethrin exposure.
