This timing targets the early to mid-stage of pest infestation when dead hearts or white ears first appear. For sugarcane, apply during planting or earthing up to protect against termites and early shoot borer. For groundnut, apply at sowing or when white grub activity is noticed.

The product works best when there is adequate moisture in the field. For paddy, maintain 2-3 cm of standing water at the time of application and hold the water for 2-3 days after application. This allows the granules to release the chemical effectively and the vapors to spread across the field. For dryland crops like sugarcane and groundnut, ensure the soil is moist at the time of application.

Step by Step Usage Instructions

1. Check field condition: For paddy, ensure the field has 2-3 cm of standing water. For sugarcane or groundnut, ensure the soil is moist.
2. Measure the correct dose: Use the recommended dose per acre for your crop. Do not exceed the recommended amount.
3. Mix for even spreading (optional but recommended): Since the dose is small (4 kg for paddy), mix the granules with 10-20 kg of dry sand or granular fertilizer (like urea or DAP) for uniform broadcasting. Apply the mixture immediately—do not store after mixing.
4. Broadcast evenly: Wear protective gloves and a mask. Spread the granules or sand mixture uniformly across the entire field by hand or using a broadcast applicator.
5. Maintain water (for paddy): After application, keep the water impounded in the field for 2-3 days to allow the chemical to release and spread effectively.
6. Post-application care: Do not walk barefoot in the treated field. Wash hands and exposed skin thoroughly with soap and water after handling.
7. Wait before harvest: Observe the pre-harvest interval (30 days for rice, 15-20 days for groundnut) before harvesting the crop.

Compatibility

Hitatox 10G is incompatible with alkaline materials. Do not mix with alkaline substances as this may reduce effectiveness. The granules can be mixed with dry granular fertilizers like urea or DAP for easier broadcasting, but the mixture must be applied immediately and not stored.
