HPM Hitculan Gold is a premium plant growth regulator (PGR) containing Triacontanol 0.1% in an Emulsion in Water (EW) formulation. Unlike standard fertilizers that simply feed the plant, Hitculan Gold works as a metabolic activator — it triggers the plant's natural growth processes to work faster and more efficiently. This results in better photosynthesis, improved nutrient uptake, stronger vegetative growth, and ultimately higher yields.
The active ingredient Triacontanol is a naturally occurring fatty alcohol found in plant waxes. It is classified under the Saturated Primary Fatty Alcohol chemical group and carries a Green/Blue toxicity label, meaning it is eco-friendly, non-toxic, and safe for use on export-oriented crops. The EW (Emulsion in Water) formulation ensures rapid absorption by leaves, even in challenging weather conditions.
Hitculan Gold is suitable for a wide range of crops including Rice (Paddy), Cotton, Chilli, Tomato, Groundnut, and Tea. It is trusted by farmers looking to break yield barriers using safe, residue-free technology. The product comes in a 1-litre liquid formulation and is manufactured by HPM Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd., an ISO-certified company.
Key Benefits
- Boosts photosynthesis: Increases chlorophyll and Rubisco enzyme levels, helping plants capture more sunlight and convert it into energy for growth.
- Improves nutrient absorption: Makes cell membranes more permeable, helping the plant absorb NPK fertilizers and other nutrients from the soil more effectively.
- Stops flower and fruit drop: Reduces shedding of flowers, squares, and young bolls in cotton and vegetables, leading to a heavier harvest.
- Increases tillering and panicle length: In paddy, promotes more productive tillers, longer panicles, and better grain filling with fewer chaffy grains.
- Enhances stress tolerance: Helps crops survive heatwaves, drought, and erratic weather by regulating water loss through stomata.
- Zero residue, eco-friendly: Water-based, solvent-free formulation that degrades quickly and leaves no toxic residue — safe for export crops.
- Rapid absorption: Advanced EW formulation ensures the active ingredient is absorbed instantly by leaves for quick results.
How It Works
Hitculan Gold works at the cellular level to activate the plant's metabolism. The active ingredient Triacontanol acts as a biological signal that triggers three key processes in the plant:
1. Photosynthesis Boost: Triacontanol stimulates the Rubisco enzyme — the key enzyme responsible for carbon fixation. This allows the plant to capture more CO₂ from the air and convert it into sugars and biomass. It also increases chlorophyll content, making leaves greener and more efficient at converting sunlight into energy.
2. Cellular Expansion & Division: Triacontanol triggers secondary messengers inside plant cells that signal them to divide and elongate rapidly. This results in more tillers in paddy, more branches in vegetables, bigger fruits, and longer panicles.
3. Root Activation & Nutrient Mobilization: Even when sprayed on leaves, Triacontanol signals the roots to become more permeable. This allows roots to absorb more water and nutrients (especially NPK) from the soil. The plant becomes "hungrier" for nutrients, making your fertilizer investment more effective.
The result is a darker green crop with vigorous growth, heavier fruit and grain setting, and better overall productivity throughout the growing cycle.

Recommended Dosage & Application
The Golden Rule: Always follow the dose per acre for accurate results. The standard ratio is 2 ml per litre of water.
| Crop | Dose (ml/Acre) | Water (L/Acre) | Dose (ml/Litre) | PHI (Days) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Rice / Paddy | 250 - 300 ml | 150 L | 2 ml | 0 |
| Cotton | 250 - 300 ml | 150 L | 2 ml | 0 |
| Vegetables (Tomato/Chilli) | 250 - 300 ml | 150 L | 2 ml | 0 |
| Groundnut | 250 - 300 ml | 125 - 150 L | 2 ml | 0 |

For a standard 15-litre knapsack sprayer: Add 30 ml of Hitculan Gold per 15-litre tank.
For a standard 20-litre knapsack sprayer: Add 40 ml of Hitculan Gold per 20-litre tank.
Method: Foliar spray. Ensure thorough coverage of leaves to the point of run-off for maximum absorption.
When to Use
For best results, follow a 3-spray schedule based on crop growth stages:
- 1st Spray (Active Growth Stage - ~25 days after sowing/transplanting): Apply during the active vegetative growth phase. In paddy, this is the active tillering stage. This spray promotes strong root development and more tillers.
- 2nd Spray (Flowering Stage - ~45 days): Apply during the flowering or panicle initiation stage. This spray helps prevent flower drop, increases flower retention, and supports better pollination.
- 3rd Spray (Fruit/Grain Development Stage - ~65 days): Apply during fruit setting, grain filling, or boll development stage. This spray improves fruit size, grain filling, and overall yield quality.
Always spray during cooler parts of the day — early morning or late afternoon. Avoid spraying in intense noon heat to prevent evaporation and ensure better absorption.
Step by Step Usage Instructions
- Shake well: Shake the bottle thoroughly before use to ensure the formulation is properly mixed.
- Pre-mix: Take a small bucket with some water. Add the required dose of Hitculan Gold and mix well.
- Add to tank: Pour this pre-mixed solution into your spray tank filled with the required amount of water. Stir or shake the tank to ensure even mixing.
- Spray: Apply as a foliar spray. Ensure all leaves are thoroughly wetted to the point of run-off for maximum absorption.
- Clean up: Wash the spray equipment thoroughly after use. Wash hands and exposed skin with soap and water.
Compatibility
Hitculan Gold is compatible with most commonly used insecticides, fungicides, and soluble fertilizers (such as 19:19:19). However, avoid mixing with highly alkaline solutions like Bordeaux mixture. If mixing with other products for the first time, perform a small jar test to check compatibility before large-scale use.
Precautions & Safety
- Always wear personal protective equipment (PPE) — gloves, mask, and goggles during mixing and spraying.
- Wash hands and exposed skin thoroughly with soap and water after handling and spraying.
- Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture.
- Keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use as the product is hygroscopic (absorbs moisture).
- Keep away from children, food, and animal feed.
- Avoid spray drift to water bodies and non-target areas.
