HPM Natraj is a powerful broad-spectrum fungicide that combines two active ingredients — Azoxystrobin 11.5% and Mancozeb 30% in a Wettable Powder (WP) formulation. This dual-action fungicide provides both systemic and contact protection against a wide range of fungal diseases that affect major crops like tomato, groundnut, rice, onion, soybean, and blackgram.
Azoxystrobin belongs to the Strobilurin chemical group and works systemically — it is quickly absorbed by the plant roots and leaves, then moves through the xylem to reach stems, leaves, and growing edges. It stops fungal growth by inhibiting spore germination, mycelial growth, and spore production. Mancozeb, from the Dithiocarbamate group, acts as a contact fungicide that stays on the leaf surface and forms a protective barrier, preventing new fungal spores from entering the plant. Together, they offer both preventive and curative disease control.
Beyond disease protection, HPM Natraj also supplies essential micronutrients — Manganese (Mn) and Zinc (Zn) — which support plant vigor, greener leaves, and better overall crop health. It can be used as a foliar spray or as a seed treatment, making it a versatile choice for farmers. The product is classified as a Class 9 (Environmentally Hazardous) substance and is restricted in the state of Kerala.
Key Benefits
- Dual-action protection: Systemic Azoxystrobin works inside the plant while contact Mancozeb forms a protective barrier on the surface — no escape for fungi.
- Broad-spectrum disease control: Effective against early & late blight, blast, sheath blight, tikka, rust, purple blotch, anthracnose, and leaf spot across multiple crops.
- Preventive and curative action: Stops new infections before they start and controls existing diseases in the plant.
- Micronutrient enrichment: Provides Manganese and Zinc to promote plant vigor, greener leaves, and better crop health.
- Versatile application: Suitable for both foliar spray and seed treatment depending on crop requirements.
- Long-lasting protection: Protects crops at all critical growth stages for healthy development and better yield quality.
- Easy to use: WP formulation mixes easily with water and works well with knapsack or power sprayers for uniform coverage.
How It Works
HPM Natraj uses a unique dual mode of action that attacks fungi in two different ways, making it highly effective and reducing the chance of resistance development.
Azoxystrobin (Systemic action): Once applied, Azoxystrobin is rapidly absorbed by the plant roots and leaves. It moves through the xylem (the plant's water-conducting system) to reach stems, leaves, and growing tips. Inside the plant, it stops fungal respiration — essentially preventing the fungus from "breathing" and producing energy. This inhibits spore germination, mycelial growth, and further spore production, effectively stopping the disease from spreading within the plant.
Mancozeb (Contact action): Mancozeb remains on the leaf and stem surface, forming a protective chemical barrier. When fungal spores land on treated surfaces, Mancozeb disrupts multiple enzyme systems in the fungus, killing it on contact before it can enter the plant tissue. This multi-site contact action makes it very difficult for fungi to develop resistance.
Together, this systemic + contact combination ensures that existing infections are cured from within while new infections are blocked at the surface, providing complete disease management.

When to Use
Apply HPM Natraj when early symptoms of fungal disease first appear — such as spots, blight, or rotting on leaves and stems. For best results, use it preventively before a disease outbreak, especially when weather conditions favor fungal growth (cloudy, humid, or rainy periods).
For foliar spray, apply at 7-10 day intervals during the active growing stage of the crop. On rice, apply during the tillering to vegetative stage. On tomato and vegetables, apply at the first sign of blight or as a preventive measure during humid weather. On groundnut and soybean, apply before disease symptoms appear, particularly during the pod development stage.
The product can also be used as a seed treatment to protect seedlings from early fungal infections.
Step by Step Usage Instructions
- Prepare: Wear protective gear — gloves, mask, and goggles before handling the product.
- Premix: Take the required quantity of HPM Natraj WP and mix it with a small amount of water to make a smooth paste.
- Mix: Fill the spray tank halfway with clean water. Add the paste while stirring continuously. Top up with remaining water and mix well.
- Spray: Apply uniformly on the crop foliage using a knapsack or power sprayer. Ensure good coverage of both upper and lower leaf surfaces.
- Clean up: Wash all spray equipment thoroughly after use. Dispose of leftover mixture safely, away from water sources.
- Post-application: Wash hands and exposed skin with soap and water. Store unused product in a cool, dry place away from children and food items.
