IIL AgroSpred Max is a high-performance, silicone-based super spreader and sticker adjuvant developed by Insecticides India Limited in collaboration with MOMENTIVE U.S.A. using advanced international organosilicon technology. It is a non-ionic surfactant designed to boost the effectiveness of agrochemicals including herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, miticides, plant growth promoters, and soluble liquid nutrients.

When mixed with spray solutions, AgroSpred Max dramatically reduces the surface tension of spray droplets, allowing them to spread quickly and uniformly across plant surfaces including waxy and hard-to-wet leaf areas. This ensures better absorption, deeper penetration of active ingredients, and improved rainfastness. Within seconds of application, the solution adheres and penetrates plant tissues, increasing bio-efficacy while reducing the need for repeat spraying.

How It Works

IIL AgroSpred Max works by modifying the physical properties of the spray solution. Its silicone-based chemistry is a non-ionic surfactant that significantly reduces the surface tension of water droplets. Normal water droplets tend to bead up and roll off waxy or hairy leaf surfaces, leading to poor coverage and chemical wastage. AgroSpred Max breaks this surface tension, causing droplets to spread out into a thin, uniform film that covers more leaf area.

This super-spreading action serves two important purposes. First, it ensures the active ingredients in your pesticide, fungicide, or nutrient come into contact with a much larger surface area of the plant, including hard-to-reach spots like the underside of leaves and dense canopy interiors. Second, by improving the wetting and adhesion of the spray, it enhances the absorption of systemic products into plant tissues, allowing them to work faster and more effectively. The sticker property also helps the spray resist wash-off from rain or overhead irrigation, giving the chemical more time to work.

When to Use

Use IIL AgroSpred Max whenever you apply foliar sprays of insecticides, fungicides, herbicides, plant growth regulators, or micronutrients. It is especially beneficial in the following situations:

• Hard-to-wet crops: Crops with waxy, hairy, or difficult-to-wet leaf surfaces benefit greatly from the super-spreading action
• Dense canopy crops: Where spray needs to penetrate deep into the foliage to reach hidden pests and diseases
• Unpredictable weather: When there is a chance of rain shortly after spraying, as AgroSpred Max improves rainfastness
• Herbicide applications: For uniform weed kill, especially with contact herbicides that require thorough coverage
• Systemic product sprays: To improve absorption and translocation of systemic fungicides, insecticides, and nutrients

Step by Step Usage Instructions

1. Wear gloves and mask while preparing the spray solution.
2. Shake the AgroSpred Max container well before use.
3. Fill the spray tank with about 90% of the required water and start agitation.
4. Add the recommended quantity of AgroSpred Max (3–5 ml per 15 L water).
5. Stir or agitate thoroughly to mix.
6. Add the agrochemical (fungicide/insecticide/herbicide) and remaining water.
7. When tank-mixing, add AgroSpred Max after soluble powders and dispersible granules but before emulsifiable concentrates — follow the product label order of addition.
8. Maintain agitation during application to keep the solution uniform.
9. Spray uniformly using a knapsack or boom sprayer at recommended spray volume.
10. Do not irrigate for 6–12 hours post-application for best results.

Compatibility

AgroSpred Max is broadly compatible with most agrochemicals including insecticides, fungicides, herbicides, miticides, plant growth promoters, and soluble liquid nutrients and fertilizers. It is also suitable for use with biological products (check compatibility). When combining with new pesticides, biologicals, or foliar nutrients for the first time, perform a small jar test to check tank-mix compatibility. Avoid use with products that explicitly forbid adjuvants — always follow the label of the pesticide or nutrient. Do not mix with highly acidic or highly alkaline solutions.

• Store tightly sealed in original container in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and out of reach of children and animals
• Use appropriate PPE (gloves, mask, and eye protection) when handling concentrate and during tank mixing
• Avoid contact with eyes and skin; wash thoroughly with clean water if exposed
