IIL Mycoraja Pro is a premium bio-fertilizer from Insecticides (India) Ltd (IIL) that contains concentrated Vesicular Arbuscular Mycorrhiza (VAM) — a beneficial fungus that forms a natural partnership with plant roots. This bio-tech grade granular formulation helps crops access trapped nutrients and moisture from the soil, reducing dependency on chemical fertilizers while improving overall soil health.
Mycoraja Pro works by colonizing the root system and extending a network of fine fungal threads (hyphae) deep into the soil. These hyphae absorb phosphorus, zinc, and water that plant roots alone cannot reach, and deliver them directly to the plant. In return, the plant provides sugars to the fungus for energy. This symbiotic relationship results in a super-charged root system capable of thriving even in poor or depleted soils. The product carries a Green Label (eco-friendly) toxicity rating, making it suitable for both organic and conventional farming systems.
Mycoraja Pro is ideal for a wide range of crops including Wheat, Paddy, Cotton, Sugarcane, Maize, vegetables like Potato, Onion, and Chili, as well as fruit orchards such as Mango and Citrus. It is applied as a basal dose through soil broadcasting or root zone application and has zero pre-harvest interval, allowing harvest at any time after use.
Key Benefits
- Unlocks fixed nutrients: Solubilizes trapped phosphorus and zinc in the soil, making them immediately available to the plant for better growth.
- Drought protection: Expands the root system significantly, allowing plants to access deep moisture and survive dry spells better.
- Improves soil health: Produces glomalin, a natural substance that improves soil structure, aeration, and prevents compaction over time.
- Reduces chemical fertilizer use: Helps cut down on chemical fertilizers like DAP while maintaining or improving crop yields.
- Stronger root development: Promotes white root proliferation, leading to better nutrient absorption and stronger plant anchorage in the field.
- Eco-friendly and residue-free: Being a biological product, it leaves no harmful residues and is safe for the environment.
- Zero waiting period: With no pre-harvest interval, crops can be harvested immediately after application.
How It Works
Mycoraja Pro works through a natural symbiotic relationship between the VAM fungus and plant roots. When applied to the soil, the VAM spores germinate and penetrate the plant root cells to form a permanent bond. Once colonized, the fungus grows a massive network of fine threads called hyphae that extend far beyond the reach of normal roots — sometimes up to 100 times the root surface area. This fungal web acts like an extension of the root system, absorbing phosphorus, zinc, and water from the soil and delivering them directly to the plant. In exchange, the plant supplies the fungus with sugars produced through photosynthesis. The result is a super-charged root system that helps the plant thrive even in poor soil conditions, with better access to nutrients and moisture that would otherwise remain unavailable.

Note: Mycoraja Pro is a biological product with zero waiting period for harvest.
When to Use
Apply Mycoraja Pro as a basal dose at the time of sowing or within 15-20 days of planting for best results. The product works best when there is sufficient moisture in the soil at the time of application, as this helps the VAM spores germinate and colonize the roots effectively. For sugarcane, a second application at earthing-up stage is recommended. For fruit orchards, apply around the drip circle of each tree. Since Mycoraja Pro works underground and takes time to establish, visible differences in crop growth and stress tolerance are typically seen in 20-30 days after application.
Step by Step Usage Instructions
- Step 1 - Prepare the mix: For easy broadcasting, mix 4 kg of Mycoraja Pro with sand or chemical fertilizers like Urea or DAP. Do not mix with chemical fungicides.
- Step 2 - Ensure soil moisture: Check that the soil has sufficient moisture before application. Moist soil helps the VAM spores germinate and colonize roots quickly.
- Step 3 - Apply to soil: Broadcast the mixture evenly over the field for row crops. For fruit trees, apply 200-250 g per tree using the ring method around the drip circle.
- Step 4 - Incorporate into soil: Lightly mix the product into the topsoil if possible, or irrigate immediately after application to help the spores reach the root zone.
- Step 5 - Wear safety gear: Always wear gloves, mask, and goggles during handling and application. Wash hands thoroughly after use.
Compatibility
Mycoraja Pro is compatible with Urea and DAP fertilizers and can be mixed with sand or these fertilizers for easy broadcasting. However, do not mix Mycoraja Pro with chemical fungicides, as fungicides will kill the live VAM fungus. Maintain a gap of 7-10 days between fungicide application and Mycoraja Pro use.
Precautions & Safety
- Always wear PPE (gloves, mask, goggles) during handling and application.
- Wash hands and exposed skin thoroughly with soap and water after use.
- Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat (above 40°C) to keep the spores alive.
- Keep away from children, food, and animal feed.
- Use before the expiry date printed on the pack.
- Handle with clean and dry hands to avoid contamination.
Side Effects & Phytotoxicity
Do not use on cruciferous crops such as Mustard, Cabbage, Cauliflower, and Broccoli, as these crops do not support VAM fungus and the product will not be effective.
