Gibberellic Acid is a naturally occurring plant hormone that plays a key role in regulating growth processes including cell elongation, flowering, fruit development, and seed germination. At the low concentration of 0.001% L, Prime Gold delivers precise hormonal signalling to trigger specific growth responses across a wide range of crops including paddy, cotton, sugarcane, wheat, maize, groundnut, grapes, vegetables, and fruits. The liquid formulation mixes instantly in water, making it easy to prepare and apply as a foliar spray or through drip irrigation.

How It Works

Prime Gold works at the cellular level by supplying Gibberellic Acid, a natural plant hormone that regulates key physiological processes. Unlike nutrients that feed the plant, Gibberellic Acid acts as a growth commander that modifies the plant's internal growth programming.

Cell Elongation: Gibberellic Acid loosens the cell wall structure and increases turgor pressure inside plant cells, causing them to stretch and lengthen. This is the primary mechanism behind increased stem height in sugarcane, longer internodes in paddy, and overall vegetative expansion in all treated crops.

Source-Sink Mobilization: The hormone acts as a traffic controller for nutrients within the plant. It directs sugars and carbohydrates produced in the leaves (the source) toward developing grains, fruits, and tubers (the sink). This ensures that the plant's energy is focused on productive growth rather than just survival, resulting in heavier harvests and better-quality produce.

Enzyme Activation: Gibberellic Acid triggers the release of alpha-amylase and other hydrolytic enzymes in seeds and tubers. These enzymes break down stored starch into simple sugars that provide energy for rapid and uniform germination, helping crops establish quickly in the field.

Because Prime Gold is a liquid formulation, the active ingredient is pre-dissolved and mixes instantly in water, ensuring uniform distribution during spraying without the need for pre-dissolving in alcohol or other solvents.

Technical Specifications

Recommended Dosage & Application

General Dosage: 2 ml per litre of water or approximately 300 ml per acre as foliar spray. For a standard 15-litre knapsack sprayer, use 25 to 30 ml of Prime Gold.

Application Method: Foliar spray or drip fertigation. For foliar spray, ensure thorough coverage of the entire plant canopy including both upper and lower leaf surfaces.

Frequency: Apply 3 to 4 times per crop cycle at 15 to 20-day intervals, starting from the early vegetative stage and continuing through flowering and fruit development.

When to Use

Prime Gold delivers the best results when applied during key physiological stages when the crop is most responsive to growth hormones. The ideal application windows are:

• Active vegetative growth stage: When the crop is establishing its structure and needs maximum cell elongation and branching. This is critical for sugarcane (40-90 days), paddy (tillering stage), and all leafy vegetables.
• Pre-flowering stage: Just before flowering begins, to encourage more flower bud formation and stronger flower retention. This is especially important for cotton, tomato, chilli, brinjal, and fruit crops.
• Fruit setting and development stage: During early fruit formation to reduce fruit drop, improve fruit size, and enhance grain filling in cereals and pulses.
• Cooler parts of the day: Apply during early morning or late evening when temperatures are mild and sunlight is not harsh. This maximizes absorption through leaf surfaces and minimizes evaporation losses.
• Calm weather conditions: Avoid spraying during strong winds or when rain is expected within 4-6 hours, as this can wash off the product before it is absorbed.

Step by Step Usage Instructions

1. Shake well: Shake the Prime Gold bottle thoroughly before opening to ensure the liquid is uniformly mixed.
2. Measure the dose: Use the crop-wise dosage table to measure the correct quantity. For general use, take 2 ml per litre of water or 25-30 ml per 15-litre knapsack sprayer.
3. Fill tank partially: Fill the spray tank with about 70% of the required clean water.
4. Add Prime Gold: Pour the measured quantity of Prime Gold slowly into the tank while stirring continuously.
5. Top up and mix: Add the remaining water and mix thoroughly until a uniform solution is formed.
6. Spray evenly: Apply as a fine mist spray covering both upper and lower leaf surfaces. Ensure complete canopy coverage for best results.
7. For drip application: Dilute the recommended dose in the irrigation line and run with normal water flow.
8. Clean equipment: After spraying, rinse the spray tank and equipment thoroughly with clean water.
9. Post-application hygiene: Wash hands, face, and exposed body parts thoroughly with soap and clean water after completing the spray.

Compatibility

Prime Gold is generally compatible with most neutral or slightly acidic insecticides, fungicides, water-soluble fertilizers, and micronutrients. However, it should NOT be mixed with highly alkaline substances including Bordeaux mixture, lime sulfur, or alkaline copper fungicides, as high pH destroys Gibberellic Acid instantly and reduces effectiveness. Before large-scale tank-mixing with any new product, perform a small jar test to check for physical compatibility (no precipitation, gel formation, or separation).

Precautions & Safety

• Wear personal protective equipment including gloves, face mask, and goggles during handling and spraying.
• Do not eat, drink, smoke, or chew anything during preparation and application of the spray solution.
• Avoid direct contact of the concentrate or spray solution with skin, eyes, nose, and mouth.
• Always spray downwind, keeping the drift away from the operator and non-target areas.
• Keep children, pets, and livestock away from the treated field until the spray has fully dried on foliage.
• Store in original sealed bottle in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place below 35°C, away from direct sunlight.
• Keep the product separate from food items, animal feed, drinking water, and seed material.
• Store out of reach of children and farm animals on a raised shelf.
• In case of accidental ingestion or eye contact, rinse with plenty of water and consult a doctor with the product label.
• Rinse empty containers thoroughly before disposal.
