Key Benefits

  • Rapid stress recovery: Helps crops bounce back quickly from transplant shock, heatwaves, drought, and salinity stress using SNIPR signaling molecules.
  • Reduces flower and fruit drop: Optimizes hormonal balance to minimize flower dropping, square shedding in cotton, and boll shedding for higher harvestable yield.
  • Improves nutrient uptake: Alginic acid from seaweed helps chelate soil nutrients like zinc and iron, while auxins stimulate root growth for better feeding.
  • Enhances plant vigor and growth: Supports robust plant development, leading to healthier crops with stronger stems and more productive tillers.
  • Zero-day pre-harvest interval: 100% biological and residue-free, safe for export-oriented crops like grapes, basmati rice, and vegetables.
  • Versatile application methods: Can be applied as foliar spray, through drip irrigation, or as soil drench — flexible for different cropping systems.

How It Works

Relieve works through a three-pronged mode of action to protect and enhance crop performance under stress conditions.

1. Osmotic Regulation: The seaweed extracts (Durvillaea potatorum) act as compatible solutes that accumulate inside plant cells. These solutes help the plant hold water, keeping cells turgid and photosynthetically active even during dry spells, high temperatures, or saline conditions. This means the plant continues to grow and produce energy even when conditions are tough.

2. ROS Priming (Defense Alert): Through proprietary SNIPR (Smart Nanomolecules Induced Physiological Response) technology, Relieve triggers a controlled warning signal in the plant. This activates the plant's natural antioxidant defense system — enzymes like SOD (Superoxide Dismutase) and Catalase — before severe stress damage occurs. The plant stays prepared and protected.

3. Nutrient Chelation & Rooting: Alginic acid present in the seaweed binds to essential soil nutrients such as zinc and iron, preventing them from getting locked up in the soil. At the same time, natural auxins in the extract stimulate lateral root growth, allowing the plant to access more nutrients and water from a larger soil volume.

Nursery Application: For nursery or seedling stage, root dip treatment at 5-10 ml per litre of water is highly effective.

When to Use

Apply Relieve during critical physiological stages of the crop for best results. The key timings are:

  • Nursery stage: As a root dip treatment before transplanting to reduce transplant shock.
  • Active Tillering (25-30 days after sowing/transplanting): Promotes more productive tillers in paddy and field crops.
  • Panicle Initiation / Boot leaf stage: Supports grain filling and reduces chaffy grains during heat stress.
  • Flowering stage: Helps reduce flower drop and improves fruit set in vegetables, fruits, and cotton.
  • Fruit Setting stage: Enhances fruit retention, uniform size development, and overall yield quality.
  • During stress conditions: Apply immediately when crops face drought, heatwaves, salinity, or after pest attack to aid quick recovery.

Step by Step Usage Instructions

  1. Prepare the spray solution: Measure the required dose of Relieve as per the crop and application method. For foliar spray, use 500 ml per acre mixed in 150-200 litres of water.
  2. Mixing order (if tank-mixing): If mixing with other pesticides or fungicides, add Relieve last to the spray tank to prevent foaming. This is called the WALES method (Water, Adjuvant, EC/SC, Wettable powders, then Relieve).
  3. Stir well: Mix the solution thoroughly to ensure uniform distribution of the product in water.
  4. Apply evenly: Spray uniformly on the crop foliage ensuring complete coverage of leaves. For drip or drench application, ensure the solution reaches the root zone.
  5. Timing of application: Apply during early morning or late evening when temperatures are lower for better absorption and to avoid evaporation loss.
  6. Post-application: Clean all equipment thoroughly after use. Wash hands and exposed skin with soap and water.

Compatibility

Relieve is compatible with most commonly used insecticides and fungicides. When tank-mixing, always add Relieve last to the spray solution to prevent foaming. Avoid mixing with copper-based fungicides without first conducting a jar test to check compatibility. If uncertain about compatibility with any product, mix small quantities in a jar and observe for any adverse reaction before full-scale mixing.

Precautions & Safety

  • Always wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including gloves, mask, and goggles during handling and application.
  • Wash hands and exposed skin thoroughly with soap and water after use.
  • Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, food items, and reach of children.
  • Avoid spray drift to water bodies and non-target areas.
  • Do not eat, drink, or smoke while handling the product.
  • Follow all instructions on the official product label.

PHI / REI & Storage

Pre-Harvest Interval (PHI): 0 Days — Safe to harvest immediately after application. Exempt from MRL (Maximum Residue Limits), making it suitable for export-oriented crops.

Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep the container tightly sealed when not in use. Store away from food, feed, and drinking water.
