How It Works
Iron is a vital micronutrient that acts as the metabolic engine of the plant. Without it, the plant's energy systems slow down and leaves start turning yellow. Multiplex Iron works by supplying iron directly to the plant through its Ferrous Sulphate content, which is readily absorbed and used by the crop.
Inside the plant, iron is required for chlorophyll synthesis, which is the green pigment that captures sunlight for photosynthesis. When iron is supplied, the plant can restart chlorophyll production, turning pale yellow leaves back to green and allowing the plant to use sunlight efficiently. Iron also acts as a carrier in the plant's energy chain, helping move energy from the leaves to the fruit or grain. For foliar spray, dissolve 2.5 g of Multiplex Iron in 1 litre of clean water and spray liberally on both surfaces of the leaves. For soil application, apply 10 kg per acre for all crops and distribute evenly across the soil for optimal absorption.
When to Use
Apply Multiplex Iron during active vegetative growth or whenever iron deficiency symptoms are noticed for quick recovery. The classic sign of iron deficiency is yellowing of young leaves while the veins remain dark green (interveinal chlorosis). Growth becomes stunted if the deficiency is not corrected.
For best results, follow this schedule: first spray at the vegetative stage (15–20 days after planting or germination) and a second spray before flowering. Apply during the morning or evening and avoid spraying in hot midday sun to prevent leaf burn. In high pH (alkaline) soils, foliar spray is highly recommended because soil-applied iron can get locked up and become unavailable to the plant.
Step by Step Usage Instructions
Foliar Spray:
- Take clean water in a spray tank.
- Dissolve 2.5 g of Multiplex Iron in 1 litre of water (adjust quantity based on your tank size).
- Stir well until the powder dissolves completely.
- Spray liberally on both the top and bottom surfaces of the leaves, as the underside absorbs nutrients faster.
- Use the solution immediately; do not let it sit for hours as it may oxidize.
Soil Application:
- Measure 10 kg of Multiplex Iron per acre.
- Mix with sand or compost for even distribution.
- Apply evenly across the soil for optimal absorption by the crops.

Compatibility
Multiplex Iron is compatible with most fertilizers and micronutrients, including Urea and Potash. However, avoid mixing it with highly alkaline solutions, alkaline pesticides, or phosphorus-heavy fertilizers, as this can cause the iron to become solid and useless. Do not mix with highly alkaline products like Bordeaux mixture. Always do a jar test before mixing with any new product to confirm compatibility.
