Multiplex Nagastha-180 is a non-ionic spray adjuvant concentrate that works as a spreader, activator, wetting and sticking agent for agrochemical spray solutions. It is completely water-soluble and is designed to improve the performance of insecticides, fungicides, herbicides and foliar fertilizers sprayed on crops. By reducing the surface tension of water, it enables spray droplets to cover a much larger leaf surface area, ensuring that every drop of your expensive pesticide or nutrient reaches the plant properly.
Nagastha-180 acts as an activator agent that enhances the effectiveness of the chemicals mixed with it. It remains on the leaf surface for a long duration, permitting better penetration and utilization of spray solutions. The product is non-reactive, biodegradable and non-corrosive to spray equipment. It also enhances the water holding capacity of the soil, reduces runoff and increases leaf penetration. It is suitable for all crops where foliar spraying is carried out, making it a versatile and practical addition to any farmer's spray routine.
Key Benefits
- Reduces surface tension of water so spray droplets spread wider and cover more leaf area, reducing wastage of expensive pesticides and fertilizers.
- Improves sticking and penetration of spray solution into plant tissues, helping chemicals work more effectively on the target pest or disease.
- Enhances the performance of insecticides, fungicides, herbicides and foliar fertilizers when mixed together in the spray tank.
- Reduces spray runoff and wastage, so you use less water and get better results from every spray.
- Enhances the water holding capacity of the soil, helping plants stay hydrated longer in dry conditions.
- Biodegradable and non-corrosive, so it is safe for your spray equipment and does not harm the environment.
- Compatible with prepared solutions of most agrochemicals, making it easy to add to your existing spray routine.
How It Works
Nagastha-180 works by changing the physical behaviour of water in your spray solution. Normal water forms round beads that tend to roll off waxy leaves, wasting your spray and leaving parts of the plant unprotected. Nagastha-180 reduces the surface tension of water, causing the droplets to flatten and spread like a thin film across the leaf surface. This allows the spray to reach hidden areas, including the underside of leaves where many pests like mites and aphids hide.
Because the liquid becomes thinner, it can enter the tiny breathing pores (stomata) of the leaf, carrying the pesticide or nutrient along with it. This improves absorption and makes the chemical work faster. The product also acts as a sticker, helping the spray stay on the leaf and resist being washed away by light rain. It is a contact-type adjuvant, meaning it works on the surface of the plant to improve coverage and penetration of whatever chemical is mixed with it.

| Soil / Drip Irrigation | 160 ml in 100 litres of water per acre | Wet the ground with this solution prior to irrigation |
Mixing Order: Fill the tank with water first, add your chemicals, agitate well, and add Nagastha-180 LAST to prevent excessive foaming.
When to Use
Nagastha-180 should be used during every pesticide or foliar fertilizer spray to get the best results from your chemicals. It is especially valuable when spraying crops with waxy or hard-to-wet leaves, such as onion, banana and cabbage, where normal spray droplets tend to roll off. It is also highly useful for herbicide applications on tough weeds with thick waxy leaves, where penetration is critical for faster kill.
For best results, apply in the early morning or evening when temperatures are cooler and there is less wind. This helps the spray stay on the leaf longer and reduces evaporation. The product is also excellent for drone spraying, where water volume is low and maximum spreading is essential. When used in irrigation, apply the solution to wet the ground before irrigating to help water penetrate dry, hard soil and improve moisture retention in the root zone.
Step by Step Usage Instructions
- Fill your spray tank with the required amount of clean water.
- Add your insecticide, fungicide, herbicide or foliar fertilizer as per its recommended dosage.
- Agitate the tank well to mix the chemicals properly.
- Add Nagastha-180 at the recommended dosage (0.4 – 0.5 ml per litre for general foliar spray) LAST to the tank.
- Stir or agitate again to ensure uniform mixing.
- Spray evenly on both sides of the leaves, covering the entire plant surface.
- For irrigation use, mix 160 ml of Nagastha-180 in 100 litres of water per acre and wet the ground before irrigating.
- Clean your spray tank and equipment after use. Do not overdose, as using more than 0.5 ml per litre can cause the liquid to slip off the leaf entirely.
Compatibility
Nagastha-180 is compatible with prepared solutions of insecticides, fungicides, herbicides and foliar spray fertilizers. It is a non-ionic product, so it does not react chemically with your agrochemicals and can be safely mixed with most spray solutions. It is also safe to use with organic bio-pesticides, as it helps bio-products cover the leaf better without killing beneficial microbes. Always add Nagastha-180 last to the tank to avoid excessive foaming.
Precautions & Safety
- Do not overdose. Using more than the recommended 0.5 ml per litre can cause the spray to slip off the leaf entirely, reducing effectiveness.
- Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture.
- Keep the product away from children and food items.
- Although it is non-corrosive and safe for equipment, rinse spray tanks and nozzles after use.
- Follow the recommended application guidelines on the product label and accompanying leaflet.
- Use at the recommended dosage to avoid any risk of phytotoxicity from overuse.
