P3396 Power Corn Seeds from DuPont Pioneer is a high-yielding hybrid maize seed designed for Rabi (post-rainy) season cultivation. With a crop duration of 115–120 days, this hybrid performs exceptionally well under high management conditions and is suitable for both grain and silage production. Its strong standability, lodging tolerance, and uniform cobs with 40–45 kernels per row make it highly suitable for regions prone to strong winds and heavy rainfall.

This hybrid adapts well to high-density planting, supports mechanical harvesting, and shows excellent tolerance against foliar diseases and stalk rot. Its superior genetic traits allow it to thrive in a range of Indian agro-climatic conditions.

Farmers across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Odisha, Karnataka, Rajasthan, and Tamil Nadu trust P3396 for its consistency in performance and return on investment. How to Use P3396 Power Corn Seeds

  1. Land Preparation
    • Prepare the land to fine tilth with 1–2 ploughings (15 cm depth), followed by harrowing.
    • Apply 10–15 cartloads of well-decomposed compost before final harrowing.
  2. Sowing
    • Use 8–9 kg of seeds per acre.
    • Maintain spacing of 60 cm (row-to-row) × 18–20 cm (plant-to-plant).
    • Use dibbling or seed drill method.
  3. Basal Fertilizer Application
    • Apply: 25 kg Urea + 50 kg DAP + 25 kg MOP + 10 kg Zinc Sulphate per acre at sowing.
  4. Irrigation Schedule
    • Ensure timely irrigation, especially at key stages:
      • Post-germination
      • Knee-high stage
      • Tasseling (pollination)
      • Grain-filling stage
    • Avoid water stagnation; use light irrigation in heavy soils.
  5. Weed & Pest Management
    • For weed control: apply herbicides between 15–30 days after sowing (DAS).
    • For pest control:
      • Delegate (Spinetoram) spray at 15–20 DAS and again at 25–30 DAS.
      • Chlorantraniliprole 80 ml/acre at 20–25 DAS for stem borers.
  6. Nutrient Management
    • Apply 20 kg Urea/acre at knee-height stage (30–35 DAS).
    • Apply 40 kg Urea + 20 kg MOP at flowering (55–65 DAS).
  7. Harvesting
    • Harvest when grain moisture is around 20–25% (110–120 days).
    • Look for black layer formation at grain base for maturity indication.

Safety and Precautions

  • Store seeds in a cool, dry, ventilated place, away from direct sunlight.
  • Do not store in high humidity or extreme temperatures.
  • Use protective gloves and masks while spraying herbicides or pesticides.
  • Ensure proper field drainage to avoid stalk rot and wilt.
  • Avoid overuse of fertilizers or chemicals. Follow label instructions carefully.
