How It Works

Unitara FS is a systemic insecticide, which means it is taken up by the plant and moves through its vascular system to reach all parts, including leaves, stems, and roots. When pests feed on the treated plant, they ingest or absorb the active ingredient Thiamethoxam through their mouthparts or exoskeleton.

Thiamethoxam binds to specific receptors in the insect nervous system, known as nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChRs). This binding disrupts the normal communication between nerve cells, which stops the pest from continuing to feed. The pest becomes paralysed and eventually dies. Step by Step Usage Instructions

1. Read the label and instructions on the product pack carefully before use.
2. For seed treatment, measure the recommended dose for your crop (for example, 10 ml per kg of seeds for cotton).
3. Mix the measured quantity of Unitara FS with the seeds in a clean container and stir thoroughly until all seeds are uniformly coated.
4. Allow the treated seeds to dry in shade before sowing.
5. For foliar spray, mix 35 to 40 ml of Unitara FS in 15 litres of water and stir well.
6. Spray the solution evenly on the crop, covering the leaves and stems where pests are present.
7. Wear gloves and a mask while handling and applying the product to avoid skin and respiratory exposure.
8. Wash your hands properly with soap and water after using the product.
