IIL Care is a dual-action fungicide from Insecticides India Limited (IIL) that combines two powerful active ingredients — Carbendazim 12% and Mancozeb 63% in a Wettable Powder (WP) formulation. This combination brings together a systemic fungicide (Carbendazim) that works from inside the plant and a contact fungicide (Mancozeb) that forms a protective layer on the plant surface. Together, they provide both preventive and curative protection against a wide range of fungal diseases.
Care fungicide is effective against major fungal problems like early and late blight, fruit rot, powdery mildew, black rot, anthracnose, leaf spots, and root rot. It is suitable for use on important Indian crops such as potato, tea, groundnut, chilli, grapes, and mango. The product can be applied as a foliar spray or as a seed treatment, giving farmers flexible options depending on the crop and disease. Its dual mode of action makes it a reliable choice, especially in humid and rainy conditions where fungal diseases spread quickly. Farmers trust IIL Care for its consistent performance, long-lasting control, and safety on plants across all growth stages.

How It Works
IIL Care works through two different modes of action that complement each other. Carbendazim, belonging to the Benzimidazole chemical group, is a systemic fungicide. When sprayed on the plant, it gets absorbed into the plant tissues and moves upward through the vascular system. Inside the plant, it stops fungal growth by interfering with cell division in the fungus, effectively curing existing infections from within.
Mancozeb, from the Dithiocarbamate group, is a contact (protective) fungicide. It stays on the plant surface and forms a protective barrier. When fungal spores land on the treated surface, Mancozeb releases manganese and zinc ions that disrupt multiple enzyme systems in the fungus, preventing spore germination and new infections. This combination ensures that the plant is protected both internally and externally, making IIL Care effective even under heavy disease pressure and favorable conditions for fungal growth.

When to Use
Apply IIL Care fungicide at the first sign of disease symptoms for best results. Preventive application is recommended during moist, humid, or rainy conditions when fungal diseases are more likely to spread. For foliar spray, start treatment when early symptoms like spots, blight patches, or mildew growth appear on leaves or fruits. For seed treatment, apply before sowing to protect young seedlings from soil-borne diseases like root rot. In crops like mango, application during pre-flowering and fruit set stages helps control anthracnose and powdery mildew effectively. Regular monitoring of the crop and timely application at the right stage gives the best disease control and yield protection.
Step by Step Usage Instructions
- Wear protective gear: Put on gloves, mask, goggles, and full-sleeve clothing before handling the product.
- For seed treatment: Take 2.5 g of IIL Care powder per kg of groundnut seeds. Mix thoroughly with the seeds in a container until evenly coated. Allow seeds to dry before sowing.
